Life in a vineyard

A dream come true for wine lovers - but also for everyone else: The beautifully rustic natural stone finca "Es Vinyet", built at ground level, borders directly on a vineyard, which is part of the huge plot in the middle of the countryside. Here you can enjoy absolute privacy: there are no neighbours, the house was built in a south-facing and secluded location. You can therefore swim a few laps in the gently sloping pool glistening in the sun and then settle down for a siesta on one of the comfortable loungers. While you sip your drink and let your gaze wander over the very well-kept terrace area, which is furnished with various inviting seating areas and plenty of greenery, you may catch a whiff of the enticing scent of lavender growing in impressive bushes next to the pool - marvellous! Depending on the season, work may be carried out in the vineyard once or twice a week. Of course, you will still have your private area around the house - you may just hear the workers or they may drive a tractor.

The interior of the finca is very tastefully decorated with a mix of elegant country house style and rustic-original details. The spacious living room, atmospherically lit by an impressive chandelier, invites you to cosy up and watch TV on the soft, cushioned sofa in front of the fireplace. It is open to the white, well-equipped country kitchen, where a practical bar provides space for a glass of wine while cooking or for a quick breakfast before a day trip. You can dine together at the chic wooden dining table next door. It goes perfectly with the rustic natural stone wall and the pretty fireplace in the corner, which provides cosy warmth on cooler evenings. In the two modern bathrooms, you can either relax in the bathtub or try out the various functions of the wellness shower. When you are pleasantly tired, simply retire to one of the two lovingly designed double bedrooms. As a special treat, as one of the photos suggests, the owners offer you a portfolio of various Mallorcan wines from small bodegas (which are not or rarely available on the market), as well as a wine list including wine descriptions and a price list. And that’s not all: a fruit basket, a bottle of water and a bottle of Mallorcan wine await you as a welcome gift.

The Mediterranean, agricultural landscape around your holiday home is perfect for walking or cycling - just set off, you won’t regret it. You can do your shopping in Porreres, which is only 5.6 km away and can be easily reached by hire car via the road, which is audible depending on the wind direction. The town is unspectacular in the best sense of the word and that’s exactly what makes it so worth a visit: you won’t find any typical tourist attractions here, but you will find plenty of authentic island life. Take a look at the weekly market, where you can buy delicious regional produce such as olives, apricots and almonds, stroll through the winding alleyways of the town, discover hidden squares or stop off at one of the cosy tapas bars and soak up the atmosphere. If you are drawn to the beach, it is best to drive the 23 kilometres to Cala Murada, a bay with very good infrastructure.
